Over the weekend, more than 220 students, faculty, and staff volunteered for service projects throughout the Easton community during the annual Make a Difference Day.

Hosted by the Landis Community Outreach Center, the day’s projects benefited the Center for Animal Health and Welfare, Children’s Home of Easton, Easton Area Community Center, Easton Urban Farm, Easton Weed and Seed, Firth Youth Center, Paxinosa Elementary School, Safe Harbor homeless shelter, Third Street Alliance, and various community gardens. The work varied from painting, to landscaping, to light construction.

The Landis Center hosts dozens of programs and organizations dedicated to helping local, national, and international communities. Volunteer opportunities include Alternative School Break, Hunger and Homelessness Week, America Reads America Counts, Best Buddies, Literacy Day, Kids in the Community, Pre-Orientation Service Program, Lafapalooza: Lafayette’s National Day of Service, and many others.
