The new Lafayette College Store at High and McCartney streets will hold its first end-of-semester sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 24-28.

Lafayette-logoed apparel, dog accessories, children’s toys, and home goods will be discounted during the sale, which will be held rain or shine on the sidewalk and grassy areas outside the store.

Items will be priced $1, $3, $5, $10, $15, $20. All sales are final.

Opened last month, the 5,000-square-foot store at McCartney North offers an array of Lafayette-themed merchandise, products from Easton-area businesses, items that the store curated in partnership with the Office of Sustainability, home goods, health and beauty products, school supplies, and a kid’s corner.

Ice cream from Owowcow Creamery is also available, including its exclusive Lafayette flavor “Leopard’s Midnight Treat,” made with a black cocoa, chunks of house-made sugar cookies, and a fudge swirl.

Char’s Café, another new amenity, offers coffee, doughnuts, and muffins, and a place to relax between classes.

Store hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. The College Store has a BYOB (bring your own bag) policy. Reusable college store bags are available for purchase.

Following current public health protocols, the store will be limited to 60 shoppers. Face masks are required.

An official grand opening ceremony and celebration will be held in August in conjunction with the Trolley Stop Diner.
