A poem by Megan Fernandes, associate professor of English, writer-in-residence, and the 2021-2022 creative writing coordinator, was featured in the Sept. 21 edition of The Slowdown, a popular daily podcast hosted by Ada Limón, poet laureate of the United States.

Limón said Fernandes’ poem, Love Poem, “explores that love for a place even if it’s not traditionally beautiful. I love how this poem is an ode to New York.” Listen to the episode and read the poem.
