In the media: Fatimata Cham ’23 quoted in Parade magazine about Juneteenth holiday
Fatimata Cham ’23 (government and law and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies), the 2023 Pepper Prize winner and the second Lafayette student to ever receive a Truman Scholarship, was included in a June 19 article in Parade magazine featuring 50 quotes that highlight the importance of Juneteenth. Cham’s quote stood alongside those offered by such figures as Barack Obama, Toni Morrison, and the Rev Al Sharpton.
