With expertise across more than 50 areas of study, faculty at Lafayette College are renowned leaders in their fields, exceptional educators, and dedicated mentors. Committed to scholarship and hands-on learning, their work impacts our students every day through classroom experiences and research opportunities.

Lafayette College is proud to welcome new faculty to the College community.

Tenure-track faculty

Lafayette welcomed 16 tenure-track faculty members starting this 2025-26 academic year. They bring diverse backgrounds and perspectives to inspire students in the College’s intimate learning environment, continuing a nearly 200-year tradition of strong student-faculty mentorship.

“I had the pleasure of spending some hours with these thoughtful scholars and teachers the week before the semester began. They bring a vast array of expertise across the curriculum and already boast an impressive number of publications, creative projects, performances, and contributions to fields across the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, interdisciplinary programs, and engineering,” says Provost Laura McGrane. “As we welcome these new professors, we catch a glimpse of the powerful ways that Lafayette will continue to evolve in the coming decades.”

Lafayette College is also proud to welcome visiting faculty for the 2025-26 academic year.

“We are pleased to have these visiting scholars and teachers in our midst. They bring new areas of study to the curriculum and energize current courses across our departments and programs,” says Provost Laura McGrane. “Our strong relationships with these visiting faculty also allow Lafayette to build networks of scholarly communities across the world.”
