Barry Goldwater Scholarship

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Foundation, which honors sophomores and juniors with exceptional academic achievements who intend to earn a doctoral degree and pursue STEM research, awarded three Lafayette students with scholarships this year: Carter Brand ’25 (who was also a Goldwater Scholar last year), Max Gianakopoulos ’25, and Tess Stanley ’25.

Fulbright Student Grant

Lafayette College is among the colleges and universities that produced the most U.S. Fulbright students for the 2022-23 academic year, according to an announcement by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Lafayette also received the honor for the 2011-12, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2017-18, and 2020-21 academic years.

Rhodes scholarship

The Rhodes Scholarship is extremely prestigious. Founded in 1902, it is “the oldest and best-known award for international study, and arguably the most famous academic award available to American college graduates,” according to the American Secretary of the Rhodes Trust, Elliot Gerson.
